In this episode, we finally arrived at our first originally scheduled port of this cruise itinerary around southern #Japan onboard #diamondprincess . We spend the day in #busan #southkorea ! If you're visiting Busan, here's some places you need to know about! From the Port of Busan we head to a temple by the sea. Haedong Yonggung Temple is a Buddhist temple in Gijang-gun, Busan, South Korea. The temple claims it was first built in 1376. The fantastic views on the coast were spectacular weather standing in front of the temple or after climbing 108 stairs where it got even better! https://www.koreatodo.com/haedong-yonggungsa-temple X the Sky has a breathtaking observatory located on the 100th floor of South Korea's second-tallest skyscraper in Busan. Offering panoramic views of the city, ocean, and surrounding mountains, itโ€™s an unforgettable experience for visitors. The glass-bottom walkways and floor-to-ceiling windows provide an exhilarating perspective, perfect for those seeking adventure or awe-inspiring scenery. Whether visiting during the day for clear, sweeping vistas or at night to marvel at the city lights, X the Sky is a must-see attraction that captures the beauty and scale of Busan from above. Oh, and don't forget to check out the world's highest Starbucks, while visiting the observatory! We were then off to the international market- Gukje Market! Following the Korean War, refugees who fled to Busan set up stalls in order to make a living by selling smuggled or imported products, which developed into Gukje Market (gukje meaning "international" in Korean) of today. Gukje Market is one of Koreaโ€™s largest markets. The market's alleyways are lined with stalls selling diverse goods, particularly machinery tools, kitchenware, and clothing. To the market's right is an alleyway lined with charity stores, and to the left is Kkangtong Market. Is this how you'd spend your one day in Busan? Our next episode will have us back in #Japan as we continue our journey onboard #diamondprincess. _______________________ While you wait for our next video, be sure to check our our earlier episodes from this adventure to Japan: https://youtu.be/VTwYjwCFZak?si=T2gN8abEOfTVtXek https://youtu.be/3pYs6PJRMgY?si=5hr_iEG7wcxxVItM _______________ You can find some of our real time updates on our socials: https://instagram.com/onacruise_with_wil_and_stephen?igshid=MzMyNGUyNmU2YQ%3D%3D&utm_source=qr https://www.facebook.com/OnACruiseWithWilandStephen?mibextid=LQQJ4d _______________ 00:00 Sail into Busan 02:01 Temple by the Sea 06:40 X the Sky Observatory 11:01 International Market 12:14 Back onboard Thank you for watching and we will see you in our next video!
