We tasted a nice variety of Cuban food while on a Cuba cruise aboard the Holland America Veendam in June 2018. See what we ate, along with menus and some of our reactions to tasting some of the dishes. On this particular cruise we had two Cuban themed main dining room lunches, one of which was for the Mariners Society (Holland America's loyalty program). Then there was a very fulfilling Cuban buffet dinner feast at the Lido Market, and on the next night a Cuban themed sit-down dinner at the main dining room. Some of our favorites entrees & Cuban desserts from the cruise included: * Empanada de Picadillo * Arroz con Leche Creaming Coconut Rice Pudding * Flan de Calabaza - Pumpkin Flan * Arroz Imperial - Braised Chicken & Shrimp Rice * Paella Marinera - Cuban Inspired Paella * Sweet Potato & Spinach Flatbread (not sure if this was Cuban but it was very good) * Slow Roasted Piglet - El Lechon Asado * Cuban Chorizo * Cuban Shrimp Cocktail * Snapper Ceviche * Chargrilled Marinated Steak Churrasco Cubano * Cuban Sandwich of course! * Guava Tarlet - Tarte de Guayaba * Marinated Yellow Fin Sole - Filete de Cherna * Dulce de Lech Flan with mango compote All that Latin food was a real treat and one of the highlights of our 14 day June 2018 cruise aboard the MS Veendam! #hollandamerica
