Fireworks have long been a staple of the Disney Parks but as technology has evolved it's brought new opportunities for night time entertainment where it never could be done before. A big element of this has been through the development of drones to create massive shows with the same large viewing area of a fireworks show but none of the sound or cost implications that come with it. This had originally been implemented in Disneyland Paris where fireworks are not allowed as a way to enable more night time entertainment options. As a trial the Disney Dreams that Soar show was created for Disney Springs to run during the summer of 2024 as the first Disney drone show in the US. It's performed each night at both 9:00 PM and 10:45 PM along the lagoon. This video was filmed from the viewing area on July 5th, 2024.
