Join us for day 3 of our first Disney cruise aboard the Disney Dream on Memorial Day weekend 2022! In this video, we visit Disney's private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay, and go snorkeling to find Disney treasures like a Dumbo ride vehicle and more, before being called out of the water due to a massive thunder and lightning storm! We also visit Serenity Bay, the adults only section of beach, and have BBQ lunch at Serenity Bay BBQ, that is cut short by the oncoming storm. We see a crazy waterspout (a column of rotating, cloud-filled wind) that looks like a tornado hovering around the cruise ship, everyone on the island has to hunker down, we eat a soaking wet plate of BBQ, walk the abandoned airplane runway and finally catch a golf cart ride back to the ship, all the while being completely drenched and nonstop laughing and fun in the storm! It was the kind of thunder that sounds like the sky is ripping open and it was unforgettable! Castaway Cay is a slice of Disney paradise in the Bahamas that you can only access via a Disney Cruise, that we absolutely loved and already can't wait to visit again! I hope you enjoy this day of snorkeling, touring the island, checking out different areas, and escaping a storm!
