We were so excited to finally visit MSC’s private island after hearing so many amazing reviews. But our experience didn’t go as expected. In this video, we’re sharing what surprised us, what disappointed us, and whether we’d give it another chance. We are BRACING ourselves for your feedback. We have discovered MSC cruisers are VERY passionate about their private island “Ocean Cay marine reserve”. We are thinking we MAY be in the minority of how we feel about this island. However we wanted to provide info for the new MSC cruiser ( people who have not been) but have been to OTHER cruise line private islands. 1- WE can NOT deny this is the MOST beautiful private island we have had the pleasure to visit. 2- The ocean water is pristine. Blue clear ! 3- The beaches soft white sand gorgeous. 4- Easy walk off ship access to the island. 5- Evening party on the beach and lighthouse “5 min” show 🥰 Sooooo you may be thinking. What is the issue? 🤔🤭 *****Nothing at all if you are ok with a few other BIG things : 1- There are Limited free chairs at only “one” beach on the island. lighthouse bay ( next to ship) This area is a calm beach area great for little kids. - HOWEVER - it’s crowded! The big pristine gorgeous beaches -south - and Bimini are accessible by “Tram” or you can walk ..a LONG way there HOWEVER - no shade ir free chairs!!! ISSUE: 2 chairs with umbrellas are are sold via ticket on board for $ 39. 😱🏝️ 2- Yes I know this may be new but it’s real. They cost $$ now folks 🤣 3- NOT convenient for mobility issues or anyone that would like shade 😂 Details in video. Again pretty but HOT no shade! Would be nice to have a PALM 🏝️tree or two 🤓 Ok let the screaming begin. We are ready! Before you ask : - YES we AGREE this is an “US” issue- we agree, we cant sit in sun all day - YES we want a chair ( knee surgery and can’t sit on ground - sorry we are not 30 yr old anymore 🤷♀️) - YES we can pay for a chair however was not expected as they are included on Royal caribbean , celebrity , carnival , and Disney cruiselines 🤷♀️ - YES we are AWARE Florida public beaches and excursions have limited chairs and shade - this is why we Do NOT go there ! - YES we expected palm trees / shade 🤷♀️ - and FINALLY YES we are older and do love Disneyland/ Disneyworld ( for those asking 😂) https://youtu.be/sJpNqK1D01U?is=Rb0PWHyQnG6VOmyi
