So Portland, Maine is our last stop on our New England road trip. In this video, we explore Portland, and you know we had to try some lobster whilst we were here, we did try the traditional lobster roll, but we also tried something different. We had a lobster corndog, so it was a whole lobster tail on a skewer, dipped into cornmeal batter and deep-fried. Needless to say, it was delicious. It felt like we visited EVERY gift shop in Portland so we could find a Maine license plate, and it took us until the last one to find a hidden treasure trove of old plate, we even found some that we needed from other states. And it turns out that Maine produced lots of potatoes and it just so happens that we found a local donut shop that actually puts mashed potatoes into their donuts so we had to try one. We did visit the Portland Observatory, which was built in 1807 and offers great views of the surrounding area, also we visited Fort William Park and took a look around Portland Head Light, the oldest lighthouse in Maine. It is in this park where we tried our Maine style lobster roll from a great little food truck. We also took a look around a Whole foods trying to find these cookies we like, and whilst in there we notice that the didn't even sell Maine lobster, it was from Canada which i know is just up the road from Portland, but still why don't they sell Maine lobster?
