Fort James Beach Antigua DIY Excursion (4K)

It was easy to get a taxi at the St Johns Antigua cruise port to the nearby Fort James Beach. We did it during our December 2017 Caribbean cruise aboard the MSC Divina. It was $25 roundtrip- the driver dropped us off and then came back about 2 hours later to pick us up. The drive was about 15 minutes from the cruise terminal to the beach. Fort James beach was quite nice. The beach was clean and it was certainly not overcrowded. You can even do horseback riding on the beach. This is certainly a do it yourself excursion that we recommend if you are visiting Antigua for the day on a cruise ship. We would rank it right up there with Dickenson Bay Beach, though Valley Church Beach was quite spectacular when we were there years ago.
