Homer Alaska Tour of Spit, Shopping, Beautiful Beach & Cruise Port (4K)

Homer Alaska was one of our favorite ports during our June 2017 Alaska cruise aboard the Holland America Amsterdam. There was a free shuttle bus (school buses) provided by HAL (see the ride here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63sP1utaX4c ) that took guests from the pier to the famous Spit area of Homer. Once there, there were plenty of interesting places to shop and peruse. There was even a nice beach that we didn't expect which provided absolutely gorgeous views of the Kachemak Bay. Other highlights included the City of Homer Port & Harbor marina where we saw a cute River Otter, the Seafarer's Memorial, and the Salty Dawg Saloon. There were tons of visitors from other parts of Alaska there as well, taking advantage of the Homer campgrounds.
