I had just completed a transatlantic cruise on NCL's Encore from Miami, FL to Southampton, England. I was also scheduled for another transatlantic Cruise from Barcelona, Spain to Port Canaveral, FL. In the 9 days I had between cruises, I stayed in London, Paris, and Barcelona. In this video, I'm traveling from London to Paris via the speedy and comfortable Eurostar train under the English Channel. The trip took about 2 1/2 hours but plan for 3 1/2 due to losing an hour with the time change between London and Paris. In London, I stayed at the Crowne Plaza London, Kings Cross. In Paris I stayed at the Holiday Inn Paris Opera - Grands Blvds. Although you can book the Eurostar at the St. Pancras Train Station, I purchased mine through RailEurope.com which was having a sale. It's important to know, that like airfare, ticket prices get higher the closer you get to your travel day. Book early when possible. Eurostar tickets are NOT included in Eurail or Interrail Passes, so you'll have to factor that into your expenses if you're considering a Eurail or Interrail pass.
