HUGE CRUISE NEWS!! HOW CRUISING WILL RESUME AS NO SAIL ORDER IS LIFTED - First Steps for US Cruises// In this video we go over the great cruise news, updates and details as cruises can start making plans to cruise again from US waters. This week, we got the cruise news we've all been waiting for, the CDC has lifted the no sail order and the cruise ban is over (from the US). Instead, a Framework for Conditional Sailing was introduced, which has guidelines for a phased in return to cruising with passengers. There are several steps to the plan for cruise ships to start sailing again, and now cruise lines like Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, MSC, Norwegian Cruise Line and others will have to work through getting things into place to be authorized to sail. Cruising won't start right away, even though the no sail order was lifted for October 31. While it's possible for cruises to return on a limited basis in December 2020, it may be more likely that there are trial runs and short cruises at that point. Here are the main points that you should know about the new framework for a return to cruise set up to regulate the cruise industry in US waters. 1. Crew Member Safety and Health Crew safety and health is a main priority and among other precautions, weekly testing will be required, in addition to testing before embarkation. More regular testing may be required if necessary. 2.Simulation Cruises or Mock Voyages Practice cruises with crew member and volunteer passengers will happen prior to any regular passenger sailings. By doing these simulated sailings, the cruise line will be able to test out the systems on the cruise ship to see what works and what needs to be reviewed. They'll be testing out main points during the cruise including embarkation and disembarkation, dining and entertainment, excursions on private islands and emergency situations and protocols. 3. Conditional Sailing Certificate Cruise ships that have been in compliance with all orders and have filled out reports will have a conditional sailing certificate. There's actually a lot of procedures and paperwork, however keep in mind that cruise ships are used to following and complying with protocols and filing all necessary documents. 4. Testing of Cruise Passengers How will testing work for cruise passengers? This is a question many of us have been asking since learning that all cruise line member of CLIA have committed to cruise line testing before boarding a cruise ship. This framework for conditional sailing includes a requirement to have testing shoreside for cruise passengers and crew, all with an approved lab. 5. Port Agreements Agreements must be made as cruise lines plan their cruise itineraries. The cruise line or cruise ship will need to have agreements in place for possible medical interventions and hospital stays, should a case be diagnosed on board. As well, there may be a case for finding housing or a hotel stay if need be. 6. Health and Safety Protocols on the Ship Many health and safety measures that we've already heard are part of this framework for cruises to be able to resume, and this was already planned by cruise lines. This includes hand washing and hygiene, hand sanitizers, sanitation on the cruise ship and disinfecting, social distance and the wearing of face masks. The CDC report did acknowledge the work of the Healthy Sail Panel and cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise, Carnival Corp. and MSC. The conditional sailing framework will be in effect until November 1, 2021 or until there has been a change in the health situation Popular Blog Post: 50 BEST GIFTS FOR CRUISE TRAVELERS https://lifewellcruised.com/new-cruis...
