Icon of the Seas: Miami Departure on May 4th, 2024 (with MSC Seascape, Carnival Magic, and more)

On May 4th the Icon of the Seas set sail on a 7 night Eastern Caribbean and Perfect Day in CocoCay sailing. Sailing round trip from Miami she made stops in St. Maarten and St. Thomas as well as the addition of CocoCay in the Bahamas. Along with Icon of the Seas the port was filled with Carnival Magic, Carnival Sunrise, MSC Seascape, and Independence of the Seas spending the day. The Carnival Sunrise was the first to depart, needing to head down to the turning basin to spin around. As soon as she passed the Carnival Magic she started moving to depart, already pointed the right way she led the Carnival pair out to sea. One those two had passed the MSC Seascape located directly behind the Icon of the Seas made her departure with a massive horn battle as she sailed by. The final ship to leave was the Independence of the Seas from the farthest berth in port. She departed 10 minutes before her scheduled time at 4:50 PM. The Icon of the Seas was then left alone in the port for her scheduled 5:00 PM departure. It wasn't until 5:47 PM though that she finally started preparing to depart. After lowering the lines she began to move away from Terminal A, but in reverse. Backing up to Terminal B (NCL's Terminal) before coming to a stop and then proceeding forward. This was due to the construction around MSC Cruises massive Terminal AA/AAA directly in front of the Icon of the Seas making it impossible to pull forward. After a short journey she made it out to sea just after 6:15 PM.
