During our visit to the Icy Strait Point, in Hoonah Alaska, we had quite the adventure! The port was one of several stops on our Carnival Splendor Alaskan cruise itinerary. Prior to our visit, we had mapped out all of the things we wanted to do. One of them was to try some Alaskan beers. There was a brewery in town that we decided to walk to: Icy Strait Brewing. Eventually, we found the brewery, but they have been closed since the start of the pandemic. We continued to walk around downtown Hoonah in hopes of finding another option to try some local brews. After several missed attempts, a kind local suggested we head up to Icy Strait Lodge. Oh boy, we had no idea what we were in for! Suffice it to say, this was probably our favorite stop. It was certainly the most memorable and we're so thankful for the hospitality shown to us from the owner of the Icy Strait Lodge.
