We flew into Rome with 1 day in Rome, then transferred to Civitavecchia for cruise on Norwegian Epic. 1st port of call was Livorno, with hired driver Mario that we grabbed at Livorno wharf to take us on day trip to Florence through Tuscany and back to Pisa, arriving back at ship later in day to continue to Cannes in France as 2nd stop on cruise. I have covered this day trip in Cannes and Nice as part of my France Plog with Paris and Chateau Versailles. it was an amazing day and we had so much fun with other passengers from ship that I managed to get to come on day trip with us. 3 from USA and 1 from Canada joined with the four of us.This trip was 400 Euros for the day in an 8-seater bus, worked out only 50 euros each, great value for an awesome day. The Norwegian epic is a very large ship and they did an awesome job for the cruise, food was exceptional, you can see some of it in our France Plog. Amazing everyday they had a new chocolate sculpture. The only regret for this trip is that we did not book longer time in Rome.
