Subscribe to the Eat Sleep Cruise YouTube Channel if you love to travel and cruise the world! https://www.youtube.com/c/EatSleepCruise1?sub_confirmation=1 Last week was another busy week in the world of cruising. All the major cruise lines made some huge announcements, including new ship deployments, cancellations, delays, and more cruise news. We are here to make sure you get caught up with our latest video covering all the cruise news from the past week. If you enjoy the video, please make sure to give it a BIG THUMBS UP! Last week, Carnival Corporation confirmed the second ship to leave the fleet would be P&O Cruises' Oceana. This ship has been sold and will be leaving the fleet this month. During an earnings call, company CEO Arnold Donald also revealed that the brand would now be disposing of 13 ships this year. The Bahamas also announced new health and safety measures for travelers. Among the new precautions, the island nation is requiring travelers to submit results of a negative COVID-19 test before entering the country. This test is in addition to completing an online health visa form. Face coverings and social distancing are also part of the protocols in place for those visiting the Bahamas this summer. Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line are teaming up to develop new health and safety protocols. The Healthy Sail panel includes 11 members that are analyzing all aspects of a cruise vacation. The panel's initial recommendations will be made available to all cruise lines when it is released this August. Viking Cruises announced that it was further suspending its ocean and river cruise operations through the end of September. Those impacted by the changes can receive a 125% future cruise credit for all monies paid toward the cruise. In addition, if cruisers book another trip prior to July 31st, the trip will be covered in the line's Risk Free Guarantee. Both Carnival Cruise Line and Princess Cruises announced new ship deployments. For Princess, this means swapping ships sailing in Alaska and the UK. Now, Majestic Princess will make her inaugural Alaskan season debut in 2021. Carnival Radiance has been further delayed due to construction delays as the result of the global health crisis. So, Carnival Breeze will be replacing some of the sailings originally planned on Radiance starting this November. In addition, Carnival Magic will reposition to South Florida, to replace Carnival Breeze offering sailings from Miami starting in March 2021.
