YouTube Video Descriptionโ†“

Letโ€™s talk about visiting the charming town of Lunenburg โ€” a true maritime gem and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Founded in 1753, this colourful harbour town is packed with history, from its perfectly preserved 18th- and 19th-century wooden buildings to its long shipbuilding tradition. Lunenburg is where the world-famous racing schooner Bluenose was built, and you might even spot her replica, Bluenose II, when sheโ€™s in port. The working harbour is alive with fishing boats and sailing vessels, and youโ€™ll find fantastic seafood restaurants, local art galleries and the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic telling the story of Nova Scotiaโ€™s fishing heritage. Itโ€™s a compact, walkable town, in fact we went for a lovely wander around in the sunshine โ€” perfect for exploring if your cruise calls here (only around 4/5 small cruise ships visit a year ) or if youโ€™re taking a day trip from Halifax! #lunenburg #novascotia #canadaandnewenglandcruise #nocruisecontrol #azamaraquest #cruisetips #shipspotting #maritimehistory #bluenose #travelcanada
