The ship docks right in Downtown Liverpool! We weren't quite sure what to expect, and this town did not disappoint!!! We visited the 3 Graces (Royal Liver building 1911, Cunard building 1917 and the port of Liverpool building 1907), Royal Albert Docks, Liverpool One Shopping & Dining district and on to Mathew Street where the Beatles first played in 1961 at the Cavern Club! You can take the ferry accross the River Mersey which inspired "Ferry Cross the Mersey", a top 10 hit by Gerry and the Pacemakers in 1965. This is a city that we would LOVE to come back to as there is SO much more to see and do.
