Is this really a "suite"? The Princess Mini Suite is a step above the Deluxe Balcony Cabin that is available onboard the cruise line's Royal Class ships. It offers limited additional perks, but it does provide for a lot of extra room to move. With rooms that cater for between 1 and 4 passengers, there's a lot of versatility. Plus, it's separated bedroom and living rooms (you can drawer the curtain to divide the spaces) helps with privacy if you're sharing the room with friends or family. If you're interested in this room type, but prefer to enjoy a few extra perks when onboard, you should consider the Reserve Class Mini Suite. This room type is physically identical, though generally offered in more desirable locations such as midship or forward with an oversized balcony. For the additional expense, you'll enjoy perks such as dining in the Reserve Class dining room (an exclusive section of the main dining room) offering a tweaked menu, table side preparation, dedicated waitstaff and no reservation-dining. Plus a half bottle of red/white wine on embarkation day. The standard mini suite is really only separated from the balcony room because of its increased size, and not because of any added perks. Still, it's a very comfortable stateroom to cruise in, and in some cases is available at only a slight premium over balcony category staterooms.
