We have got a couple big cruise news stories for you this week. As we start to hear more about vaccines coming out, it is possible vaccines could be mandatory to cruise. We also look at the Royal Caribbean's, Quantum of the Seas, and what happened with their positive covid case. Stay tuned for all that and more. Since March it has been very rough for the cruise industry. With the news of a vaccine there is a lot of talk about returning to travel and what post covid cruising will be like. Norwegian Cruise Lines CEO Frank Del Rio has shared some ides one what we might see. He said that crew will be require to get the vaccine. This is a big cruise news update as there is also talk about passengers requiring the vaccine. This isn't only the cruise industry but other travel industries as well are talking about making it a requirement. We are watching and waiting to see how this develops. Also in cruise ship news this week, Royal Caribbean Cruise line had to cut a cruise short. The Quantum of the Seas has been doing cruises to nowhere departing from Singapore. All passengers had negative tests prior to boarding. Three days in a passenger developed symptoms. The safety procedures were followed, the passenger was tested and close contacts were also isolated. This test came back positive so the cruise was cut short by one day and returned to port. Fortunately the following tests the passenger had all came back negative. What is interesting is that all passengers received a one day cruise credit. When we think about cruise ship booking during a pandemic this is a risk. Is one day credit for the inconvenience enough or should you get anything when you know the risk? We hope that you liked our cruise industry news update. How would you feel if vaccines were mandatory to cruise? What do you think of Royal Caribbean's response to the positive covid case? Are there any cruise news stories you would like us to cover?
