Our EMBARKATION in Tenerife and FIRST impressions of P&O AZURA - DAY 1 VLOG

This was the start of of P&O Azura Canary Islands and Madeira cruise. We booked direct with P&O on a standard saver fare and flights, transfers and luggage were included. We flew from Gatwick with Jet2, P&O had charted a flight, to Tenerife South Airport. The cruise port in Santa Cruz De Tenerife is around an hours coach journey away. Once we arrived embarkation was super quick and efficient and we boarded Azura around 4pm. We took the time to explore. We had our first meal in the Meridian main dining room, took in a show in the Playhouse Theatre and ended our evening in the Planet Bar. It has a passenger capacity of around 3,100 guests, and it offers a variety of cabin types, including inside cabins, outside cabins, balconies, and suites. The ship's design emphasises a relaxed and modern cruising experience, catering to a range of travellers, from families to couples. We are Tom and Dom and we experienced our first cruise on the MSC Virtuosa during her UK staycation cruises in 2021. We are relatively new to cruising, however we can now say we are officially hooked. Our mission is provide a fair and balanced review of our travels. We look at the types of food that is available onboard, from main dining rooms, room service, buffets and pool side snacks. We include menus for each of cruises so that we can share the selection of drinks and meals that are available. Entertainment onboard a cruise ship is important to us and we enjoy theatre production shows, live music, quizzes and game shows. We love to explore different ports and destinations and enjoy sharing tips and tricks so that you can make the most of each port. We often explore ports independently but also book excursions that are interesting to us. We have created a list of our cruise essentials.
