Perfect Day at CocoCay! It's surely was a perfect day, we certainly did enjoy it a lot, stunning beaches, and classic Caribbean Island life. Royal Caribbean Cruises spent an amazing $250 million dollars on this beautiful private island in the Bahamas, CocoCay is located 55 miles north of Nassau, the Capital. They have turned it into the perfect island destination, complete with water park, the largest fresh pool in the Bahamas, many cool bars, beach activities, shops, food outlets and beaches. CocoCay is designed to make everyone happy with different zones around the island, catering for different tastes. Coco Beach Club - A private retreat with infinity pool overlooking the blue Caribbean waters, better food and seating and less people, but it will cost you. They also offer some amazing overwater Cabanas, not cheap, but holidays never are. Thrill Waterpark - The centrepiece of CocoCay is the Thrill Waterpark, with hits towering slides (Daredevils Peak), twisting, and turning, giving a real white-knuckle ride to daredevils and tourists alike. There is also a huge wave pool, a Splash Speedway racer and plenty of other water slides and activities to keep everyone busy. Oasis Lagoon – the largest freshwater pool in the Bahamas, complete with swim up bar, DJ, the coolest place to sip a cocktail. We spent plenty of time enjoying this bar... highly recommended. Chill Island – One of the largest beaches, is all about sun tanning, swimming and relaxing. Very popular with families with kids. South Beach – If you want to pump up the jam, this is the place, think beach party, with beachside basketball, beach volleyball and lots of great pumping music. Very popular with the young hip crowd. Royal Caribbean serves up a Beach BBQ for all guest on the Island, with food outlets scattered around CocoCay. The Beach Club has slightly better BBQ with some more fancy dishes.
