We visit Wat Chalong Temple, the colourful Old Town and the famous Patong Beach. If you're visiting Phuket on a cruise ship or just looking for the perfect island day trip itinerary, this tour covers the absolute best mix of culture, food and shopping. We started our day at the magnificent Wat Chalong Temple which is the most famous temple in Phuket. We took our time exploring the stunning grounds and getting a close look at the beautiful Grand Pagoda. It's an absolute must-see for anyone docking in Thailand! For lunch, we stopped at the famous Kan Eang at Pier restaurant right on Chalong Bay. This spot is absolutely legendary for its fresh seafood and beautiful sea views. It's highly recommended if you want an authentic Thai meal while you're off the ship. Next up we headed into the historic Phuket Old Town to wander the stunning Sino-Portuguese streets and take in the vibrant atmosphere. No trip to Phuket is complete without trying some local treats so we visited a traditional cashew nut factory to see exactly how they're processed and to taste a few for ourselves. The visit is included in lots of Phuket Cruise Excursions. We finished our day in Phuket with some retail therapy at the massive Jungceylon Shopping Mall. Before heading back to the cruise ship, we took a quick look around the world-famous Patong Beach and the bustling Bangla Road area. We genuinely loved this port day. It gave us a perfect overview of everything Phuket has to offer!
