Planes, Hotel & A Cruise Ship: My Carnival Luminosa Journey to Alaska Begins! It's CRUISE DAY! 🚢⚓ Welcome to my West Coast Trip Vlog Series which includes 2 cruises (Carnival Firenze Mexican Riviera Cruise & Carnival Luminosa Alaskan Cruise) and a day at California Adventure & Disneyland! On this vlog, I leave Long Beach, California on a connecting flight to Oakland, California. After switching planes in Oakland, it's off on my next flight to my destination: Seattle, Washington. After arriving at the Seattle airport, I walked to the Link Light Rail which I rode to downtown Seattle, just a couple blocks away from my hotel, The Moore Hotel. This hotel is historic and does not have air conditioning. My stay at the hotel was good though as it wasn't hot. The location was great as it is just a couple of blocks away from Pike Place Market and there is also a Target nearby. That evening of the travel day, met up with Steve Moralez & Ruth Top for dinner at Chinook's which was a nice way to end the night (after a couple of drinks at their hotel's bar) before heading back to my hotel, The Moore Hotel. The next day was CRUISE DAY! Took an Lyft ride to Pier 91, where the Carnival Luminosa docks at. After the Lyft driver dropped us off, it was off to the cruise terminal and then walked on board the Carnival Luminosa. Onbard the ship, it was time to go to the Muster Station and then drop off bags in the cabin as a Platinum member. Met with a couple of friends in the atrium of the ship, Tina & Chelsea. Soon cabins were open and I set up my Captain's Quarters in my cabin, Cabin #4271 (Interior Cabin With Obstructed view). Then it was time for Sail Away! I checked out the Sail Away party in the Lido Deck area. I headed outside and watched as the Carnival Luminosa left the pier and headed out to sea away from Seattle. Back inside the ship, I went to the Spa area for the spa raffle to try and win a prize but alas my name was not drawn. #Rigged Finally, it was time for dinner in the Vela Restaurant where I dined on Shrimp Cocktail, Roasted Tomato Soup, 12 Braised Short Rib & Carnival Melting Chocolate Cake to end the cruise day.
