P&O Arvia Day 5 | Brief Visit to La Romana | Exploring the Ship | Keel and Cow | 710 Club 2024

Hi everyone, In this week's video we arrived in the port of #laromana in the Dominican Republic. As we said in the previous video our excursion to Soana Island was cancelled due to the weather so we didn't really have a plan. There was an emergency drill taking place on the ship while we had breakfast at Horizon buffet. We had a wander round the port, almost bought a drink but couldn't justify the rip off price so after a few minutes looking at the shops and because it started raining we decided to get back on the ship. This video is basically a sea day but quieter because others were off at the port which suited us! We decided to explore the areas of #pandocruises Arvia that we hadn't before, we found the skywalk (Altitude) and played some mini golf which was good fun. We went in the sports centre to shoot some hoops, kick around and then went to Brodie's to play pool. We really enjoyed how quiet the ship was. We had a nice wine in the Glass House while playing some cards and admiring the atrium and ship in general. We then had our main meal at Keel and Cow as we wanted a better experience. This was honestly amazing and one of our favourite meals. Laura had the fish finger butty, thick cut chips and Dane tried 'the best burger at sea' the Prime Minister burger. We loved this meal and would highly recommend! We went to the casino but lasted about 2 minutes, wasn't my favourite spot on the ship but I know others have more luck! We then went to the Sky Dome and tonight's entertainment was the house band Pulse doing the country and western night. We really enjoyed this and it was a great start to the evening. It was then time for the Silent Disco! We couldn't wait for this and it was so much fun, an absolute highlight! We will always be on the lookout for them on our future cruises! My heels sadly got too painful so we had to nip back to the room for me to change shoes. We then went and watched Phoenix the band in the Club House and they were as amazing as always! We then tried our luck and went to the 710 Club (Gary Barlow's Club) to see if we could get a seat. This was the late night showing and we got in! Tonight's music was a jazzy take on rock/metal which we enjoyed and it was fun to experience! We had a quick stop off to see the cinema on the way back to the room, it looked impressive so maybe we will actually watch a film on another cruise. It was then time for bed at about 2am; we had such a full day/night fun action packed time on Arvia!
