We took a bus to the city of Pompeii, about a hour by coach. Buried under 6 meters of ash spewed by the devastating Vesuvius in 79 AD, the vast Roman city of Pompeii remained frozen for over 17 centuries. For lovers of antiquity and history, here are some must-see attractions on the archaeological site. We has a guide who was super informative. Learning about how they created and enforced laws was jaw dropping. They have unearthed ovens that look exactly the same as pizza ovens of today. This tour should be on your must see list. Be sure to wear study shoes and are able to walk distances and uneven terrain.
