About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Descriptionโ†“

After getting off the Island Princess in the port of Puntarenas, our bus tour started with a relaxed drive through town that gave us a quick look at everyday life along Costa Ricaโ€™s Pacific coast. As the bus rolled through the streets, we passed colorful local homes, small neighborhood shops, and fruit stands selling fresh coconuts and mangos. The drive also followed the long waterfront promenade, where we could see locals walking, fishing boats tied up along the shore, and views of the Gulf of Nicoya stretching out into the distance. Our guide pointed out the historic port area that has welcomed ships for decades, along with parks shaded by tall palm trees where families were gathering and kids were playing. It was a nice introduction to the laid-back vibe of Puntarenas and gave us a glimpse of the coastal culture before we headed out of town for the rest of the excursion.
