"Queen Mary 2", "Oriana" & "Balmoral" depart from Southampton - 16/11/2012

Friday 16th November 2012 was an overcast and dull day for those departing from Southampton Docks aboard Cunard's "Queen Mary 2", Fred. Olsen Cruise Line's "Balmoral" and P&O Cruises' "Oriana". "Queen Mary 2" was moored at the 'Ocean' Terminal with "Balmoral" at the 'City' Terminal and "Oriana" at the 'Mayflower' Terminal. All three ships were booked for departure at 16:30. "Balmoral" was the first to start moving at around 16:30 and headed up past "Oriana" to the Upper Turning Circle. "Queen Mary 2" slipped her moorings and began to reverse out from the 'Ocean' Terminal at around 16:35 - 16:40. Once out, she then turned and headed off down the River Test. "Oriana" waited until "Balmoral" was in the Turning Area before moving away from the 'Mayflower' Terminal. "Balmoral" brought up the rear having completed her turn.
