"Queen Victoria" 'Fjords & Waterfalls II' Cruise - Day 1 (Southampton) 13/07/2012

The first day of our cruise to the Norwegian Fjords aboard the Cunard cruise liner MS "Queen Victoria" from Friday 13th to Saturday 21st July 2012. This is our departure from Southampton Docks on Friday 13th July in the company of "Queen Victoria's" two fleetmates "Queen Mary 2" and "Queen Elizabeth". "Queen Elizabeth" was the first ship to sail from the 'Mayflower' Terminal and after turning, came down past the Town Quay exchanging horn-blasts with us in the 'Ocean' Terminal and then "Queen Mary 2" in the 'QEII' Terminal. We set off after "Queen Elizabeth" had passed in front of us and soon passed "Queen Mary 2", also exchanging horn-blasts. Once we'd passed, "Queen Mary 2" slipped her moorings and departed from the 'QEII' Terminal. Both us and "Queen Elizabeth" had to stop and wait for "Queen Mary 2" to turn around before sailing after us. On the way down, we passed Royal Victoria Country Park as well as the Refinery & Power Station at Fawley. Later, after dinner, we're out in the English Channel with "Queen Elizabeth" sailing ahead and on our Port Side whilst "Queen Mary 2" is behind on our Starboard side. As the evening progressed, we overtook "Queen Elizabeth" and proceeded towards the North Sea and Stavanger whilst "Queen Elizabeth" and "Queen Mary 2" headed for Hamburg,
