"Queen Victoria" & "Sapphire Princess" depart from Southampton - 05/05/2018

Saturday 5th May 2018 saw the maiden visit of two cruise ships in Southampton Docks alongside a veteran of the past ten years. Having watched Holland-America Lines' "Zuiderdam" arrive in the morning, it was time to go round to Hythe Marina Village to see the departures of Princess Cruises' "Sapphire Princess" and CUNARD's "Queen Victoria". "Queen Victoria" was the first to leave the docks at around 4:30pm from the Ocean Cruise Terminal heading out on a 7-night cruise to Norway. She was followed by "Sapphire Princess" who had begun to move from the Mayflower Cruise Terminal at around 4:15pm but had to go and turn in the Upper Swinging Ground before heading off on her first ever cruise from Southampton which is a 7-night to Western Europe.
