(Rainbow Beach) a truly amazing area on the Cooloola Coast. Derives its name from the sand dunes which consists of different colored sand. Rainbow Beach is great place to drive on beach and camp, requires permits from National Parks for different areas to camp on Cooloola Coast. Just south of the Great Sandy Straight on the Fraser Coast and north of Double Island Point at the top end of the Great Sandy Marine Park. From this area located at Inskip Point you can take a barge and 4WD to K'gari previously known as Fraser Island. Traditional owners of the Butchulla people. One of the largest sand Islands in the world with pristine rainforest and pure freshwater lakes. Book a camping and 4WD permit and you can enjoy this amazing Island hop from here or you can take a tour if you are so inclined. It was very cheap to do this years ago it is not so anymore. A trip to this island will cost per vehicle ($140 AUD) at the time of writing, but it is worth it at least once in your life. This is Australian nature at its best. There are many forms of different accommodation in Rainbow beach area. This is a Very short vlog 2.5 minutes as we were just passing through from a friend's house, it deserves a larger vlog in future.
