"Red Kestrel" & "Celebrity Edge" first day in Southampton - 13/05/2019

Monday 13th May 2019 saw both the first day in traffic for Red Funnel's new freight-only ferry "Red Kestrel" running between Southampton and Cows, Isle of Wight as well as the maiden visit of new cruise ship "Celebrity Edge" for Celebrity Cruises. In this video we see "Red Kestrel" sailing into Southampton from East Cowes just as "Celebrity Edge" got underway from the City Cruise Terminal on her two-night taster cruise. She had a firetug display as exchanged horn blasts with AIDA Cruises' "AIDAperla" docked at the Queen Elizabeth II Cruise Terminal. Viewed from Hythe Marina Village.
