Join us as we revisit Reykjavik on the NCL Prima cruise! Get an inside look at the city hall, harpa concert hall, and the commodore room on the ship. This #travel vlog will show you the hidden gems of Reykjavik and provide helpful information for anyone disembarking the NCL Prima. Don't miss out on the adventure! #ncl Where has the time gone? Today is our final day in Reykjavik and disembarcation of the NCL Prima. We have had such a wonderful time on our cruise and I am sad that it is over. First we dine at The Commodore Room, one of the dining rooms included in the ticket price of the Norweigian Prima. I then get "Me" to go to the nightclub on board so we can go to our first RAVE! It was something! The next morning we are up bright and early to be some of the first to leave the ship. We had priority boarding so we were able to do this. We did this because we were worried about taxi service back into town since we had problems getting a taxi on other days. We have booked a room at Local 101 Hotel. Our flight doesn't leave for some eight hours and we do have several pieces of heavy luggage. Also the weather has turned cold, windy and rainy. We felt that having a room would serve us well and boy did it! The Local 101 cost us about $120.00 (USD) which was almost the same as storage for our bags. Having this room that included breakfast was great. We were able to go out and explore more of Reykjavik without our bags, we got a very nice breakfast and had a place to come back to, shower and get things ready for a flight out that evening. We counted it as a win! We had several hours to explore more of Reykjavik so after getting things settled at The Local 101 we set out! It was a cold day! Thank goodness for my NorthFace jacket! We visited the City Hall and then stopped to get a coffee and enjoy warming up and people watching. We then set out for the Harpa Concert Hall. This is a must see while in Reykjavik! The inside and out are spectacular. While we were there we even got to hear a POP UP singing by some of the performers! After our visit to the Harpa Concert Hall we walked along the sea side down to see The Sun Voyager, one of the most visited and photographed places in Reykjavik. We had a great time stacking rocks and taking pictures. After this we started walking to visit The Whale Museum. I had wanted to go to this museum on our first visit but there was not enough time. As we started to walk the rain really started to come down! :( We soon brightened though because we saw something we had never seen before! A Conveyor Belt Sushi! We had seen this on YouTube but never in real life! It opened in 10 minutes so we decided to go to the Conveyor Belt Sushi and not the Whale Museum. The Conveyor Belt Sushi was such a fun experience! Good News! "Me" said we could still go to the Whale Museum! So off we went! The Whale Museum was good. A little expensive for what it actually was but it was a good experience. We headed back to The Local 101 for a hot shower, much needed to warm up, repacked for our flight and even had time to rest and talk with one of the owners. He pointed out that The Local 101 was the second hotel ever opened in Reykjavik. It has had several owners but the newest owners have made many upgrades! It is very nice and well worth booking as your hotel while in Reykjavik. We also loved the tiny little elevator a Single Door Schindler. If you go to The Local 101 don't miss it! We had such a wonderful trip! Thank you so much for coming along with us! We appreciate everyone who has watched, liked and subscribed! You Rock! We know that we are "Living the GOOD Life" and we hope that you are too! Skol! We hope to see you next week!
