From riding in the bold and fabulous Le Barbie (a bright magenta party bus!) to exploring colorful streets, learning about the rare Larimar stone, and having heartfelt conversations with our amazing tour guide — this day had it all. 🏰 We made a quick stop at the historic San Felipe Fortress, one of the oldest colonial forts in the Caribbean, where our history-loving dad made sure to get his questions answered. 🎨 We strolled through Umbrella Street and Pink Street — two of the most vibrant and photo-worthy spots in the city. 💎 We discovered the beauty and significance of Larimar, a rare blue stone found only in the Dominican Republic. 🙏 We connected on a personal level with our guide, who shared insights about missionaries in the DR — including a touching moment when he asked about our son, Jackson, currently serving a mission in Washington. 🌧️ Even though it rained the entire time at Playa Dorada, our boys still swam in the ocean and we enjoyed shopping and soaking in the moody tropical vibes.
