"Royal Princess" Maiden Arrival into Southampton - 07/06/2013

Southampton Docks welcomed the brand-new Princess Cruises' "Royal Princess" on a very wet and stormy morning of Friday 7th June 2013. Accompanied by the tugs "Svitzer Almer" & "Svitzer Ferriby", "Royal Princess" moored at the 'Ocean' Terminal at around 11:30. This arrival was the beginning of a week of events welcoming the ship into service. She will embark on two short two-night cruises to Guernsey and back on Sunday 9th & Friday 14th before embarking on her maiden voyage to Barcelona on Sunday 16th. Her naming by Kate Middleton/The Duchess of Cambridge will take place on Thursday 13th. Prior to "Royal Princess's" arrival was the container ship "MOL Continuity".
