Scarlet Lady: Sailing through the Strait of Gibraltar on December 2nd, 2024

On November 28th Virgin Voyages' Scarlet Lady set sail on a 16 night From Rome to Miami Transatlantic Voyage crossing both the Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. Sailing from Civitavecchia (Rome) she made stops in various ports along the way. This was her first sailing after returning from Virgin Voyages first ever dry dock and completed her inaugural Mediterranean season as she sailed home to Florida. After sailing across the Mediterranean Sea Scarlet Lady had to pass through the Strait of Gibraltar to complete her journey. Reaching the area at 10 PM after spending the day in Malaga meant that it was once again a night time passage. With the lights of Africa off the Port side and Europe off the starboard side it creates a unique moment in the voyage as two continents are fully visible at once. Along the journey there are a few sights to see including the Rock of Gibraltar in Europe and Tanger Med in Africa. As she made her journey, once again the Norwegian Pearl was sailing along side her.
