SCUBA Diving in Costa Rica

When we were in Costa Rica we decided to go SCUBA diving. The Riu Guanacaste Hotel has a Scuba Caribe dive center (scubacaribe.com). The cost for classes and a 45 minute dive in the Pacific Ocean was $99 US p/p. We had a one hour lecture and training with a test. Then we practiced in the pool for another hour. After that we went on a small motorboat to a secluded cove. We dove to about 35-40 feet (11-12 meters). We took our GoPro Hero 4 cameras. It was very fun! The area does not have a lot to see (some parts are just sand), but it is very clear. If you have never gone SCUBA diving, this is a great opportunity to try it out.
