Skipper Canteen | Magic Kingdom | Walt Disney World Everyone loves the Jungle Cruise, especially with the new movie, but have you visited the Falls home. Albert Falls is the man who discovered the back side of water and who started the Jungle Cruises. His granddaughter came live with him, Alberta Falls, who opened their home to cruise guests to get a bite to eat after their guided tour through the Amazon. Skipper Canteen has so much memorabilia and relics to enjoy that you could stay for hours to discover. We ate in the Falls Family Parlor, called the Jungle Room. However there are two other rooms to be seated in the old crew mess hall, or the society of explorers and adventurers meeting room. The food was nothing to write home about, but the Schweitzer slush I would go back for! The real reason to go back is to explore, from the hangings on the walls to the books in the library, they all have Disney meaning and we wished we had been able to stay longer to figure out some of the lore.
