Southampton Docks Cruise Ships 4 Departures plus S.S Shieldhall 4/8/17

Today 4th August 2017 with the sky very dull and grey with blustery winds and a bit of sunshine I watched 4 Cruise Ships all depart from Southampton Docks within a short space of time as well as an old preserved Steamship. First to depart from the Mayflower Cruise Terminal at 16:59pm was P&O Cruises Ship - Ventura for a 7 Night Spain, Portugal and Guernsey Cruise her first port of call will be Vigo in Spain. Second ship to depart was the Oceania Cruises Ship - Nautica from City Cruise Terminal at 17:12pm for a 14 Night Baltic Ballads Cruise to Stockholm and her first port of call will be Zeebrugge in Belgium she was assisted from her berth with the help of the tug Svitzer Ferriby. The third ship to depart was the Cunard Ship - Queen Mary 2 from Ocean Cruise Terminal at 17:31pm for a 15 Night Roundtrip Transatlantic Crossing, her first port of call will be Halifax in Nova Scotia. Lastly was the P&O Cruises Ship - Adonia which departed from the Queen Elzabeth ll Terminal at 17:58pm for a 14 Night Atlantic Coast Iberia Cruise, her first port of call will be Lisbon in Portugal & she was assisted from her berth with the help of the tug Svitzer Ferriby. Finally at 18:08pm the Steamship - Shieldhall left berth 48 for a trip down the Solent to Cowes for paying passengers to watch the fireworks display which marked the ending of Cowes week.
