The 'DORSET COAST EXPRESS' with No.70013 "Oliver Cromwell" - 21/08/2013

The third (originally fifth) run of the Railway Touring Company's 2013 'Dorset Coast Express' excursions took place on Wednesday 21st August. Once again, due to lack of available locomotives, the trip ran steam-hauled from London Victoria to Weymouth; diesel-hauled from Weymouth back as far as Southampton Central before being steam-hauled back to London Waterloo via Romsey & Andover. The motive power for this run was the same as the run on July 31st - BR 'Britannia'-class 4-6-2 No.70013 "Oliver Cromwell" & WCRC Class 47 'Brush' Co-Co No.47245. Viewed at Totton & Redbridge stations plus Redbridge Causeway.
