We arrived in Aruba aboard Celebrity Ascent and were instantly greeted by stunning turquoise water. After walking through the cruise terminal full of souvenir and gift shops, we found the free trolley just outside the terminal gates. The trolley ride takes you through downtown Oranjestad, past colorful buildings, palm trees, and busy shopping areas. It was a smooth, relaxing ride and a great way to see the city without spending any money. Next, we walked to the bus stop and took the local bus to Eagle Beach, one of the most famous beaches in the Caribbean. We relaxed in lounge chairs, walked the shoreline, visited the iconic fofoti trees, and explored the unique lava rock formations. Before heading back to the ship, we stopped at Anker Fish Co. and enjoyed an amazing grouper sandwich. We ended the day exploring a nearby local market before returning to the ship.
