Venice, Italy is a bucket list destination, romantic and historic... for adults. But what do you do in Venice with teenagers (who get bored easily)? Or if you're just young at heart?! In this vlog, we aim to answer that questions by doing as much as we can over three days in Venice. We'll be staying at the wonderful Villa Mabapa on Venice Lido as our base, and we'll get around using the 'vaporetti' (aka Venetian public transport water buses). From there, we will visit St Mark's Square, explore the famous Doge's Palace, and take time to find some quieter, less frantic corners of Venice island. We also hit the nearby islands of Burano and Merano, famous for their lace and glass making, respectively. But from the perspective of our two teens, the biggest hit of our visit will be kayaking through the canals of Venice. We see the city from an angle that few people get to enjoy... and it is AWE INSPIRING. It's quite easy to get around Venice using public transport (water buses), particularly with the Venezia Unica card. We even travel to the airport via water ferry to catch our flight home!
