In this b-roll from the Coast Guard, you see four short clips of the rescue of the passenger who went overboard from Carnival Valor Wednesday evening, November 23, 2022. By the time he was located and the Coast Guard had their assets on the scene, the 28-year-old man had been in the water for about 20 hours. In the first clip, you see the man in the water. The second shows the Coast Guard swimmer being lowered into the water to assess the man's condition and prepare him for the hoist to the helicopter. The third clip shows the man being hoisted in the basket, and the final one shows the rescue swimmer being hoisted to the helicopter.
