Day five on our Caribbean onboard @VirginVoyages Resilient Lady took us to St, Kitts. With Brent driving on the 'wrong side of the road.' It started out a bit rough, but in the end, he did a good job. Well... We're still alive, at least 😂. Our first stop took us to a place Melanie has always wanted to visit, Romney Manor. Known for it's lush tropical botanical gardesn, the ruins of Wingfield Manor and distillery, and the four-hundred year old Saman tree, the grounds are a peaceful and serene area to relax. Romeny Manor is also known for @CaribelleBatik, a store where the ancient art of Batik is praciticed on site and where you have the opportunity to purchase clothing and other one-of-a-kind items featuring this beautiful art. We ended up making an impromtu stop at @ItalCreations as Brent didn't have breakfast and needed something as he was still feeling the effectsof the 80's party from the night before. Ital Creations serves up vegan and vegetarian dishes with a Caribbean flair. Located just outside Basseterre, it is a unique experience worth taking the extra time to visit. Next was a quick stop at the Timoth Hill Overlook, which is the spot where the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea meet. After another impromptu stop at a coffe shop where we tried the famous Ting grapefruit soda, we made it to the final stop at The Monkey Bar at Frigate Beach. If we are being totally honest, we were not really impressed with the overall vibe here and the food was subpar. Maybe it was just from being overly tired from being up so late rocking at the 80's party, but we just weren't feeling it and decided to head back to the ship a little early. After getting back on the boat (NOOOOOO.... SHIP!!!!) Melanie attended a cocktail party with an amzing guitarist / singer while Brent edited videos in the room.
