One of the most unique dining experiences onboard Virgin Voyages is the Test Kitchen. You only get a list of 6 ingredients and they surprise you with the experimental food they’ve created. While not every dish was our favorite, the overall experience was wonderful and most of the courses were delicious. The Mushroom course was really interesting with how they made the Paté, if you don’t like funky textures it may not be something you enjoy. The flavors were really good. The Scallop dish was also good but the real winner of it was the broth. It was so good we would have licked the bowl if it would have not made us look like animals. Venison and Beef course with the Potato was also amazing. Good, strong flavors that melt in your mouth. Adding the chocolate added a whole new layer and texture to the taste. Of course the dessert was on point. Chocolate, delicious, coconut, layers, we could have eaten a few of these! The Pea course wasn’t great and the Blue Cheese Course was a very different texture.
