Walking to CHATEAU DE CHILLON from MONTREUX| Cruise Memories|#shorts takes us to the real life Little Mermaid Castle, seen in the Disney movie. Aside from that, Chateau de Chillon, Montreux, Switzerland is a medieval fortress and thought to be one of the best, most beautiful medieval castles in Europe. It is an easy 45 minute walk from the Montreux train station. There is also a trolley for those that would rather not walk. The visitor's information booth at the train station is very helpful! Chateau de Chillon-Montreux is easily reached by boat, bus, train or car from Geneva. An adult ticket is roughly 15 dollars admission. There also is a family price for 2 children and parents, plus there is a discount for taking public transportation. This is a pristine area with such fresh air and BEAUTY. JUST AMAZING. I did an extend my cruise vacation to Chateau de Chillon near Montreux on Lake Geneva after a Mediterranean Cruise a few summers ago. It is very simple to take a train from Barcelona to Switzerland by way of France.
