Guy's Burger Joint still serves some of the best burgers at sea, the casual dining options impressed us daily, and we were shocked by how manageable the crowds were despite sailing at max capacity with nearly 5,000 guests. The specialty restaurants have completely transformed since our last Carnival experiences - especially Cucina del Capitano and the incredible Chef's Table experience. What Surprised Us Most: Despite all the viral social media videos about Carnival, we witnessed zero unruly behavior, fights, or chaos. Just fellow cruisers ready to enjoy their vacation. The FunSquad kept energy high with engaging activities, and we found ourselves participating more than usual. Even with the ship at capacity for the inaugural Celebration Key sailing, we managed crowds with basic planning. Carnival Cruise Ship Review - The Challenges: This carnival cruise ship review wouldn't be complete without mentioning the disappointments. The stateroom felt surprisingly dated compared to newer ships - shower curtains instead of glass doors, USB outlets only at the desk, and a generally drab feel for a "FUN ship." The entertainment program lacked the high-energy vibe we remembered from previous Carnival experiences, and the pizza at Pizzeria del Capitano was genuinely disappointing. Carnival Cruise Reviews - Final Verdict: While Carnival Vista shows its age in some areas, it delivers on what matters most to cruisers: excellent food variety, strong beverage program, engaging activities, and that signature Carnival fun atmosphere.
