This video highlights Glen Hills County Park in St. Croix County of Wisconsin. We have camped here several times now, and appreciate the laid-back atmosphere. If you are ever looking for a great campground in Wisconsin, this is one to check out! It's not even far off the freeway (I-94)- only 7 miles, taking County Road 128, if you are traveling through on your way through the state. The park itself is set on beautiful Glen Lake, created from an earthen dam, which you can even walk across on one of the trails surrounding the lake and area. There are a lot of hills and woods on over 700 acres... nature galore! Glen Lakes County Park offers 2 campgrounds: Peninsula Main Campground with electricity at all sites, and Picnic Point Campground with non-electric sites, but close to the newer shower building! There is also a lot to do here: Swimming Beach; Kayaks, Canoes, Paddleboats, and Paddleboards for rent at $10 per hour; a boat landing; Fishing Pier; Trails to hike; A 9-hole Disc Golf Course; Picnic Areas; Volleyball; Golf Course. There are also winter activities: Ice Fishing; Skating on the lake; Snowmobiling; Sledding' Snowshoeing; Cross-Country Skiing. (Note- Campgrounds are only open from May 1st - October 31st).
