You Won't Believe What Happened on Greyhound Bus Trip 1170

On July 30, 2008, passengers on Greyhound Bus 1170, traveling from Edmonton to Winnipeg, Canada, were subjected to a horrifying and unprovoked attack. The bus, carrying 37 passengers, was traveling along the Trans-Canada Highway near Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, when the tragic event unfolded. Tim McLean, a 22-year-old man, was seated near the rear of the bus. Another passenger, Vince Li, who had boarded the bus in a seemingly calm manner, was sitting beside McLean. Without any warning, Li suddenly attacked McLean with a knife, fatally stabbing him multiple times. The situation escalated as other passengers and the driver fled the bus in terror, attempting to protect themselves and call for help. Some passengers tried to intervene but were unable to stop the attack. Li continued his assault and displayed disturbing behavior in the aftermath. Police were called to the scene and surrounded the bus, leading to an hours-long standoff. Eventually, Li was taken into custody without further violence.
