During our cruise aboard the Azamara Onward, we spent two incredible days exploring Lima, Peru! 🇵🇪 After docking in the port city of Callao, we took the shuttle into the beautiful Miraflores district of Lima to experience local culture, amazing food, and one unforgettable wildlife adventure. Our first stop was the famous Indian Market - Centro Artesanal Miraflores, a popular shopping destination known for Peruvian handicrafts, alpaca clothing, and locally made souvenirs. After browsing the market stalls, we stopped for lunch at Rastro where we tried some delicious local dishes. The following day we checked into our hotel in the Miraflores district and later that evening joined an incredible food tour with Lima Gourmet Company. During this experience we explored several of Lima’s most popular neighborhoods including San Isidro, Barranco, and Miraflores, tasting some of the best food in the city while learning about Peruvian cuisine and culture. Day two started with breakfast at Tanta before heading back toward the coast near Callao for one of the most unforgettable experiences of the trip — swimming with wild sea lions off the coast of Lima! 🦭 To wrap up our Lima adventure, we stopped at the airport lounge at Club LIM Lounge before heading home.
