6 Reasons YOU NEED to Cruise on Virgin Voyages in 2020

Currently, we are scheduled to sail on a November voyage on the brand new cruise line, @VirginVoyages. Being our first cruise since the shutdown is reason enough to be ecstatic, but there are several other reasons why we can’t wait to sail on this new ship. Virgin Voyages has taken a cue from the premium and luxury cruise lines. This cruise line’s base fare includes a variety of amenities for which most cruise lines charge extra during a trip. These include specialty dining, gratuities, basic beverages, and group fitness classes. With the cruise fares considerably lower than when the cruise line initially launched, a cruise on Virgin Voyages is now an even better deal. One of our favorite aspects of cruising is the food. With Virgin Voyages' eateries all included in the cruise fare, we are more than ready to try out some of the new concepts. Among the venues we can’t wait to sample include the casual “not a buffet” The Galley, the upscale steakhouse the Wake, as well as the Italian and Mexican restaurants, to name a few. Fitting them into one cruise is a challenge that we are ready to accept. With the pandemic changing every aspect of life, we appreciate that the cruises on Scarlet Lady will be mostly 4 and 5 day itineraries. Along with being short cruises, they visit destinations not many ships call on, including the Dominican Republic, Key West, FL, and the cruise line’s private beach club at Bimini, Bahamas. We are excited to visit the new beach club and enjoy all of the amenities, as well as explore some of this Bahamian island on our Dominican Daze itinerary. While we haven’t cruised in a while, we feel confident that Virgin Voyages' Voyage Well safety measures will ensure we are safe and healthy during the trip. With a ventilation system providing 100% fresh air throughout the ship, increased sanitation protocols, virtual queues for events, as well as other measures, including face coverings, we are ready to cruise on Virgin Voyages. Along with the one-of-a-kind entertainment and unique cabin options, there is plenty of unique aspects of Virgin Voyages that are unlike any other cruise line. So, we are eager to see just how different this cruise can be when compared to the competition.
