One of the most popular beaches in the Caribbean (some might even argue the world), Magens Bay in St. Thomas was nothing but debris and downed trees only three months ago, when Hurricane Irma made landfall on the island with up to 225-mile-per-hour winds. Now, it’s open for business thanks to a multi-million dollar investment by Royal Caribbean to redevelop the beach – an effort that required 100 dump trucks to remove debris, 110 workers on site, 30 shipping containers of material, and 530 newly planted trees (most brought in from outside the Virgin Islands). Here’s an inside look at what the St. Thomas’ Magens Bay looks like now. Check out our St. Thomas travel guide - http://bit.ly/2l1hLAd
